To address these challenges, AGS turned to The Fuel Tank Shop & Hytek for a comprehensive solution. Together, they implemented a fuel management system for AGS’s new delivery vans, enabling precise fuel tracking and location monitoring in real-time. The solution ensures that AGS can manage its refuelling operations smoothly, with key features that include:

• Hytek Tecalemit Fuel Management System (FMS): The Tecalemit system is highly adaptable, seamlessly integrating with existing pumps using a pulsed meter to provide accurate monitoring of fuel usage. This flexibility allows for smooth operation and precise data tracking.
• Fuel Reports and Monitoring: Automated email reports are sent at specified times, offering AGS timely updates on fuel usage, inventory levels, and other critical metrics. This feature eliminates the need for manual report generation, ensuring that AGS has the data it needs to make informed decisions and maintain operational efficiency.
• Enhanced Security Measures: The FMS includes a tag and pin code setup, providing an extra layer of security to prevent unauthorised access.
• High Gain Antenna: The high gain antenna provides enhanced network coverage across the UK, ensuring a reliable and stable connection even in areas with weaker signals. This extended reach maintains consistent communication and data transmission, which is essential for efficient fuel management and overall operational success.
• Cloud-Based Software: Tanks and transactions can be monitored through a single cloud login, providing AGS with access to multiple sites from one central location. This efficient system ensures effective management and oversight of all operations, no matter the location.
• Bespoke Reporting: AGS can fully customise all graphs and reports to suit their operational needs. Custom formats can be saved for future use, ensuring consistency. Reports are also exportable in .pdf and .csv formats, making it easy to share data and conduct further analysis.

Since implementing the Tecalemit system, AGS has successfully enhanced its ability to monitor and control fuel usage. The system provides them with more accurate data on fuel consumption, helping them to make more informed decisions and reduce overall costs. AGS is now planning to extend this system across all its refuelling projects, maximising the value of fuel reports and data to improve operational efficiency. They also plan to integrate the system with their bulk and AdBlue tanks, further optimising their fuel management across the business.
