Back in 1985, when Back to the Future was topping the box office and the first mobile phone call was made in the UK, we were just getting started in a small unit at Golds Business Park in Elsenham. In the top left of the image, you can see a photo taken at our first premises, featuring a batch of our iconic SK109 fuel dispensing pumps in production. The image may be a little blurry (scanned from the archives — no digital cameras back then!), but the quality of our engineering was already clear. The SK109 became a cornerstone product for Hytek between 1985 and 2000, and paved the way for what came next. Fast forward to today: the main image shows our modern ALPHA fuel dispensers being built in our current home at Delta House — a 17,000 sq ft facility just down the road from where it all began. Alongside the ALPHA, we now have two dedicated build areas for our Zeon and C-Series pumps — all part of the Pumptronics range, which joined the Hytek family in 2018. One thing that hasn’t changed in 40 years? We still work exclusively with trade installers and resellers. In 1985, there was no website. In 2025, our brand-new site proudly reflects that same trade-only commitment, with access and pricing reserved for our partners.
