Outdoor payment technology from Hytek and UNICODE Systems

HYTEK and Unicode: Collaboration

The collaboration between Hytek and UNICODE Systems was first announced in May at the UNITI expo in Stuttgart. During the event, Hytek Managing Director Jacquie Davies and UNICODE CEO Miroslav Stříbrský sealed the partnership agreement. This partnership focuses on distributing UNICODE’s advanced outdoor payment technology and systems (OPT) across the UK market.

Since then, the two companies have been working closely together. Hytek’s Technical Director, Andrew Olive, and UNICODE’s Arthur Plumpton have led the effort. They have supported the installation of outdoor payment terminals and provided quotes across various sectors, including petrol stations, airports, marinas, and smaller private refuelling facilities.

Looking ahead, APEA LIVE attendees will have the chance to visit the joint Hytek and UNICODE stand. Here, they can explore a range of innovative products. These include the Mini and Compact ATEX outdoor payment terminals, the Pumptronics C Series pump with an integral OPT, Hytek’s engineered test measure proving cans, and O.L.E. electronic tank gauges.

With UNICODE’s 25 years of experience in Europe’s petrol station payment systems and Hytek’s 40 years of expertise in fuel transfer solutions, the partnership is set to shape the future of outdoor payment technology. It also has the potential to support electric vehicle charger payments.
