Black Iron Fittings

Black iron fittings are robust, durable pipe fittings. They are made from uncoated malleable iron or mild steel, which has a natural dark finish, giving them their name. Unlike galvanised fittings, black iron fittings do not have a protective zinc coating. This makes them unsuitable for water supply systems. As well as in certain industrial applications where corrosion resistance is a primary concern.
