The PFFC is an inline pre-filter fuel conditioner designed to help reduce microbial contamination and fuel filter blockages in diesel and biodiesel systems. Requiring no electrical supply or replacement filter elements, it conditions fuel as it passes through the unit at a max flow of 85L/min. This pre-filter conditioner requires little to no maintenance.

Microbial contamination, commonly known as diesel bug, can develop when bacteria and other microorganisms grow in water present within stored fuel. Modern diesel can contain a proportion of biofuel, which can absorb more water than conventional petroleum diesel and provide favourable conditions for microbial growth. Over time, the microorganisms can form larger colony-forming units and sludge deposits that may be drawn into fuel lines, dispensing pumps and vehicle filters.

The PFFC is installed inline so that fuel passes trough the conditioner before reaching the pump or vehicle.
As fuel flows through the unit, its internals create a hydrodynamic effect. This helps break apart microbial colony-forming units, preventing them from forming larger deposits and allowing the smaller particles to pass through the fuel system and be burnt during the normal combustion process.
The conditioner also contains a powerful magnet that helps capture rust and other metallic particles present in the fuel.
Unlike a conventional fuel filter, the PFFC does not use a replaceable element and does not require an electrical supply.
